Directed by: Joshua Weigel
A short film directed by Joshua Weigel in 2009 starring Nick Vujicic as the limbless man. The film is 20 minutes long and was completed in 12 days.
Set during The Great Depression, a circus called ‘The Butterfly Circus’ travelled across America to give hope and inspiration to the nation. They travel cross country with different forms of inspiration. From The Strongest Man Alive to the Oldest Gymnast. They had every different forms of inspiration until, Nick Vujicic.
Nick hopped on the circus bandwagon to take a chance at a better circus life. Instead he was awaked by his weaknesses and was transformed. He used to look at life as if he was an object to be laughed at and used as a tool for mockery. Instead The Butterfly Circus showed him that being in the circus did not mean amusement and laughter but, inspiration.
A highly recommended film for our comrades, The Butterfly Circus is a must watch for those who know that ‘the greater the struggle, the more glorious the triumph.’
