The We Are One! World Tour in Bahrain was held at the Bahrain International Circuit on 10 December 2009. The InService team had a meeting on 9 December at 6:00pm and 30 InService members attended. More would have come but at the time, the rest of the InService were out of the country.

 

As Crew Chief, I encouraged them to be familiar with the venue right away. This was an outdoor, open-air venue which was quite different from the usual and would require a different approach and coordination between the departments. They gave me their commitments that all would be present to serve at the event the next day.

Sure enough, we were all there and not a single person was missing. In fact, 15 more InService came to serve and we had a total number of 45 members in the whole crew. A few were a little late coming in, and I made sure that I addressed that concern right away.

It was great that there were a lot of us because over 2500 people came to the event! It was really massive!

The event lasted from 8:00pm to 12:00 midnight and even with such a huge turnout, there were no major challenges and everyone did their duty properly. The only thing we really worried about was that it might rain that night, but the weather was favourable.
